Who we are

Who we are

We are language and learning enthusiasts, and we’ve devoted our professional lives to helping people, young and old, to learn and to communicate. We met through work, and work led to lifelong friendship. We love working together and we joined forces so that we could do more of it. It’s that simple. Do work you love with people you love. We think it shows.

Iñigo Javaloyes
Founder and Managing Editor

I started my professional career as freelance journalist in New York City selling news stories at twenty bucks a piece for a newspaper in Madrid. A few years later, when I started working at McGraw Hill as an editor, writer and translator of educational and medical materials, I continued to do so with the idea that every text I produced had to “sell”—not to a short-tempered boss in a newsroom, but to a student trying to find the motivation to go through a few pages of activities, or, today, to a patient reading a translated brochure about a life-saving procedure.
Experience has taught me that making things simple for our clients is almost as important. Using readily-available technology, we create clear and efficient working ecosystems, which enormously reduce the mental noise some projects can generate and ultimately create high quality materials.
Through the years I have learned to deeply empathize with both the end-users of our work and the clients who request it.

Ana Stojanović
Creative Director

I have spent my professional career in educational publishing and digital media. I started as an editor of language learning materials at Random House. Deciding to take some time off to travel and explore my roots also led to opportunities to explore new dimensions of my work, including writing and translation and perhaps most significantly--video production. The first time I stepped onto a film set, I was hooked! And I increasingly focused on digital content--behind the scenes as a scriptwriter and on set as an Assistant Director. More recently, I have managed the production of hundreds of learning objects a year. Being involved in content creation from so many different angles has proven to be a great advantage in recognizing very quickly what works and what doesn’t, what the best solution is for every project and budget. My work has also led me to some amazing people! After 20+ years in the business, I still love what I do. Thanks for checking us out! I hope you will consider LanguageCare for your next project.
